Pottery painting parties aren’t just for children! They can be creative, fun and social activities enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
I will bring the pottery painting party to you, whether in your home, village hall or meeting place. I’m based in York so can visit any venues in York or the surrounding areas. I am flexible with dates and times so can fit in with your usual meeting times or plans and I will come with everything you need to create your own useable masterpieces.
How do the parties work?
You pre-order the pottery pieces of your choice and I can suggest options to suit all budgets.
I arrive about 30 minutes before your event and will bring everything that your guests need for the painting. This includes the unpainted pottery, tablecloths, aprons, paints and equipment to help your designs such as writers and sponges. I will be on hand throughout the event to help and make sure your party is a success. Sessions usually last 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the complexity of the chosen ceramics and speed of the painters!
After the party
I will clear everything away and take your pieces away to glaze and fire in my kiln. Then I will deliver the finished ceramics back to you 1-2 weeks later in individual gift bags for you to give out to your guests. The glaze is lead free and food safe.
Who are the parties for?
Parties are ideal for groups of adults as a social get together, interest groups, hen parties and corporate team building events.
As painting can be a relaxing and therapeutic activity, parties are also suitable for residents in retirement villages, care homes, for groups of elderly people or groups with special needs.
How much does it cost?
I have a wide range of options to suit all budgets so prices range from £12 to £30 per head. I’m adding to the variety of ceramics all the time so options include decorative items (such as trinket boxes, ornaments and lanterns), utility items (such as mugs, plates, teapots, serving bowls and pet bowls) and seasonal pieces (Christmas, Halloween etc.). Prices are all inclusive with a minimum party size of 8 people and prices cover a 2hr time period (longer pick up times can be arranged).
